  • TRAINS
    Closest Railway Stations
    There are several rail stations within a 5km radius of the Park:
  • Solihull, Widney Manor and Dorridge, on the Chiltern Line between London Marylebone and Birmingham. (Chiltern Railways, Virgin Trains)
  • Shirley, Whitlock’s End, Wythall, Earlswood and The Lakes on the Birmingham to Stratford line.
  • Birmingham New Street on the London Euston to Manchester Line. (Virgin Trains)

    Chiltern Railways operate an hourly service on the Birmingham to London line, and there are additional trains operated by Centro stopping at all stations between Birmingham and Dorridge, offering approximately four trains per hour at peak times. There are some through trains to Solihull from the west side of Birmingham, and Birmingham Snow Hill provides an easy interchange to rail and Metro services from the Black Country.

    There are three trains per hour during peak times between Leamington Spa, Warwick and Solihull on Chiltern Trains, but the service frequency varies and there can be long gaps between trains.

    National Rail Services
    National rail services are operated by Virgin Trains and Chiltern Railways

    Virgin Trains operates an infrequent service between Birmingham, Reading, Gatwick Airport and Brighton which stops at Solihull but operates outside peak commuting times. There are four trains per hour at stations between Birmingham and Shirley on the Stratford upon Avon line, but only an hourly frequency to other stations between Shirley and Stratford Upon Avon, which includes Wythall, Whitlock’s End, Earlswood and The Lakes stations west of Blythe Valley Park.

    There is also a regular service to Birmingham New Street from London Euston which takes approx. 90 minutes. The 966 and 166 bus services can be used to get to BVP.

    Skyrail is a free shuttle service that carries passengers between Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham International Rail Station. The service runs approximately every 2 minutes every day and the journey time is approx 90 seconds. See Birmingham International
